Logic Diagrams as Argument Maps in Eristic Dialectics

Abstract This paper analyses a hitherto unknown technique of using logic diagrams to create argument maps in eristic dialectics. The method was invented the 1810s and -20s by Arthur Schopenhauer, who is considered originator modern eristic. Schopenhauer could be interesting for several branches research field argumentation: Firstly, mapping, since here diagrammatic shown order visualise possible situations arguments dialogical controversy. Secondly, art controversy or eristic, do not analyse truth judgements validity inferences, but persuasiveness dialogue.
